The "Missing Finger Movement" That Most Guitar Players Avoid (But Should Learn)
There are a few things that clearly distinguish a beginner guitar player from an advanced one.
Some of those are simply due to lack of experience - a better musical sense, good timing, great phrasing - these are all things that take time to develop.
But there are other simple things that beginner lead players simple avoid, and in fact they do not even realize they are avoiding... but you can hear the difference in their solos.
One of those things is what I call the "Missing Movement": it's a very simple left hand technique that can be learned with just a little practice, and it's probably the most common 'blind spot' that lead guitar players have.
The trouble is that the players do not notice, but the listeners can definitely tell that "something's off"

If you find it difficult to do this kind of movement with only one finger at a time while keeping the other finger relaxed, here is a handy workout for left hand fingers independence. It's not an EASY workout, but it's definitely EFFECTIVE and that's what you want, right? :)
Aaannd here's a link to the Pentatonic Scales On Guitar Course that you should check out just because it's awesome ;)
